Mass Answers is an online chat reference service that lets you ask questions and get answers, in real time, right here on the Internet, from reference staff at some of the best libraries across Massachusetts and the country, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In most cases, you will be communicating with a librarian who does not work at your local library. They will not have access to your library card records. The librarian may be from another Massachusetts library, or elsewhere in the national 24/7 Reference consortium.Once you are connected, please do not use your "forward", or "refresh" buttons, or you will be disconnected.
MassAnswers is initially funded by federal grant funds authorized by the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
